I copied a bunch of files to a stick and they got an XML extension on another computer - but not when viewed on the original computer.
As LukeHopcroft explains, this is a feature. The original computer is a laptop and protected with encryption, in case it gets stolen. The target computer is my own, at home. Naturally, it cannot read the encrypted files, so removing the .XML extension, as suggested by others, is not going to help.I cannot find the EXE file Luke mentions, so that is not an option for me. I can, however, email the files I want to myself, and pick them up using webmail on my home computer - having signed in with my work credentials
